Agnetha is better known due to her role in ABBA than as a solo artist in Sweden. ABBA was one of the largest pop group ever, both commercially and globally. The singer quit school to pursue music at fifteen and quickly gained the attention of. They signed her to a recording contract by Enghardt and the debut single topped the charts in Sweden. Bjornulvaeus who she later got married to was her husband and she joined ABBA. ABBA was one of greatest pop acts across the globe during the eight-year period. The group won the gold and platinum awards throughout all over the world. The group released three albums following ABBA which included 'Wrap Your Arms Around Me, Eyes of a Woman as well as I Stand Alone,' they were all extremely popular in Sweden, and also gained popularity in Europe and the U.K., however, not so in the U.S. ABBA music was the inspiration for a jukebox show called Mamma Mia!. The album, 'My Coloring Book was a huge success, reaching eleven on the UK charts and was released after she came out of her retirement. Her latest Album 'A', has also been well-received.
